Bustamante Defeats Archer in UPA Pro Tour Championship
LA's Normandie Casino was the site for this year's UPA Pro Tour Championship, where 51 players vied for over $50,000 in prize money.
When the dust settled, it was hot stick Francisco Bustamante on top with the $10,000 lion's share of the purse, defeating the usually ubeatable Johnny Archer by the narrowest 7-6 margin in the final.
Archer took early control of the final match and led 6-3 in the alternating break format match. But the seventh rack would prove to be out of Archer's reach as Bustamante won the last four games for the 7-6 win.
The final four matches were taped for later ESPN broadcast. Watch our TV calendar for broadcast dates!
