Diliberto enshrined in Buffalo Boxing Hall of Fame
By Bob Caico

Danny Dilberto, who fought under the name of Dan Toriani was one of six inductees to Buffalo's Ring 44 Boxing Hall of Fame during ceremonies at Salvatore's Italian Gardens on August 11th.
Diliberto fought as a lightweight from 1957 to 1959 and was undefeated in 14 fights, scoring 11 knockouts. Danny fought almost all his fights in southern Florida where he trained at the Fifth Street Gym.
Legendary trainer, Angelo Dundee, said recently, "Danny was a heck of a fighter. Who ever I put in front of him he knocked out."
Danny retired from the ring after breaking his knuckles one too many times. After boxing Danny concentrated on pool and there he became a multiple world champion, something that his hands prevented him from becoming in the ring.
