Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour Shooter's Results

Shooter's of Greensboro, N.C. hosted The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tours events this weekend (April 19&20) with an awesome turn out of 95 competitors. The competion was strong featuring champions such as Mike Davis, Sparky Ferrell, Tony Watson, BJ Ussery, Wade Crane, Mike Fuller.

The Open Event had 49 players including 9 women and junior players who took advantage of The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tours free entry and tour card program along with 6 pool league player discounts . The Amateur Event had 46 players including 12 free entries given to women and juniors and 4 league player discounts. The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour is proud to be the first to offer these incentive programs in it's continued efforts to help promote our sport and encourage the growth of our sport through player participation in tournaments.
The Open Division was won by Matt Clatterbuck who is the house pro at Blue Fox Billiards Bar & Grill in Winchester, VA. won the tournament in set 2 of the double elmination format after working his way through the top half of the bracket undefeated. Clatterbuck took advantage of The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour promotion this week and received a free tour card. Mike Fuller once again demonstrated strong skill proving he is a force to reckoned with and placed 2nd in the tournament.
Clatterbucks pathway to the finals began in the top half of the bracket where he worked thru his opponents undefeated beginning with Wesley White 9-2; Wayne Smith 9-1; Jackson Jeffreys 9-6; Tony Watson 9-7; Mike Fuller in the quarter-finals 9-7; facing Fuller again in the finals set #1--9-7 winning in set #2 -- 9-7.
Mike Fuller worked through the bottom half of the bracket undefeated until the quarter finals sending his opponents in order to the one loss side--Scott Johnson 9-2; Keith Crawford 9-4; Jack Costner 9-6; Sparky Ferrell 9-5; Fuller was sent to the one loss side by Clatterbuck 9-7; where he defeated Ferrell 9-4 in the semi finals to return to face Clatterbuck again.

The Amateur Event was won by Ridge Smallwood who worked his way thru the bottom half of the bracket undefeated and won the finals in the first set 7-0 over Adam Stanton. Smallwood sent the following opponents to the one loss side Gina Ophardt 7-0; Bobby Strandberg 7-6; Katie Cowan 7-4; Daniel Hill 7-3; Stanley Smallwood 7-4; Derek Leonard 7-5.
Adam Stanton earned a second place win by defeating the following in the top half of the bracket before he was sent to the one loss side Tom Smith 7-3; Tommy Ayers 7-2; Daniel Nelson 7-2; Chad Pike defeated Stanton 7-4 sending him to the left side of the chart where he faced Katie Cowan 5-3; Perry Hale 5-4; Stanley Smallwood 5-4; Qi Liu 5-1; Derek Leonard 5-4 in the semi finals Stanton returned to face Redgie Smallwood in the finals.
