Stone and Olinger Take Top Honors at Michael's
The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour was at Micheal's Billiards this past weekend for Open and Amateur Events on March 2. The Open Division was won by local favorite Ryan Stone who is from Dayton, Ohio and began playing pool at the age of 9. Now only 21 years old, he has won two Viking Cue 9 Ball Amateur Events and this win makes his first Open Event win!
Stone made his way thru the top half of the bracket undefeated sending the following to the left side of the chart Chase Timmer 9-5, Cody Myers 9-4, Travis Stamper 9-8, Frank Ruby 9-1, Mark Slye Jr 9-6, Joe Brown 9-3, and Ruby again 9-5 to take the win. Frank Ruby drew a bye in round one then defeated Ron Scalzitti 9-7 and Kelly Cottongin 9-4 before being sent to the one loss side by Ryan Stone 9-1. He make his way back to the finals after defeating Steven Dillion 7-3, Bill Lott 9-2, Shannon Murphy 9-4, Travis Stamper 9-7 and Joe Brown 9-7 before facing Stone in the finals.

3rd $610 Joe Brown
4th $380 Travis Stamper
5/6 $200 each Shannon Murphy, Mark Slye Jr
7/8 $100 each Bill Lott, Jason Miller
The Amateur Division was won by another local favorite, Alex Olinger, who make his trek to the finals undefeated thru the bottom half of the brackets.
