Putnam wins Viking Stop in Galesburg

The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour was in Galesburg, IL this week, where 65 Players turned out to compete for over $4,000, including Shawn Putnam, Jon Kucharo, and the man who coached Putnam, Jackie Palmer.


Billiards On Main was the host site for the tour stop and arriving in the finals were Jamie Baraks, making his way through the one loss side, and Putnam, who'd taken the point on the winner's side. At 5-5, Baraks missed a ball and Shawn pulled away 7-5 for the win.

1st Shawn Putnam $1,300
2nd Jamie Baraks $ 750
3rd Craig McLaren $ 500
4th Ivan Sweezer $ 250
$500 Added Amateur Division
1st Scott Cohen $550
2nd Neal Jacobs $400
3rd Larry Parke $250
4th Rich Mager $120
