Viking Tour at Diamond Billiards
A grand total of 122 players competed in this weekends Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour events at the Grand Opening tournament for the brand new 1.5 million dollar Diamond Billiards Sports Bar and Grill in Cape Coral, Florida. The players competed for their share of the $7,290 prize fund with Justin Hall claiming the win of the 55 player $1,500 added Open division and Jeremy Bell taking top honors in the 67 player $500 added Amateur division.
Diamond Billiards Sports Bar and Grill located at 1242 Pine Island Drive SW in Cape Coral, FL. took about a year and about a 1.5 million dollar investment to build this exquisite billiard facility. It features 22 new Diamond tables with 14 of them being 9' and the remaining eight are 7' Diamond Smart tables.

All American Tour Results from Main Street Billiards
The 32nd stop of the 2007/2008 Pechauer All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance - ACS) was hosted at Main Street Billiards in Tucson, AZ, on the weekend of January 26-27.  The $1,000 added event drew 27 players competing in a double-elimination 9-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.  In the men's division Mitch Ellerman (Phoenix, AZ) marched undefeated to the finals.  In the hot-seat match, Ellerman dispatched Jack Rippel (Sierra Vista, AZ) 9-6.  Earlier in the A-bracket semi-finals, Ellerman outpointed Kevin Peterson (Tucson, AZ) 9-5, while Rippel knocked off Alex Liebeskind (Tucson, AZ) 9-5.  In the B-side quarterfinals early-round loser Rudy Alameda (Tucson, AZ) eliminated Alex Liebeskind 7-4, while Kevin Peterson (Tucson, AZ) ousted Kenny Zamora (Sierra Vista, AZ) 7-4 - both losers placing 5-6th. 
In the semifinals, Alameda avenged his earlier loss to Kevin Peterson, placing Kevin at 4th place by a 7-4 score.  Rudy continued his hot streak by dropping Jack Rippel at 3rd place by a 7-5 margin, enabling Alameda to get a title shot against Ellerman in one race-to-11 finals.  Rudy Alameda was not to be denied, as he jumped on Mitch Ellerman early, and glided to an 11-6 win for the crown!

The 27th stop of the 2007/2008 Pechauer All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance - ACS) was hosted at Starship Billiards in Decatur, IL, on Saturday, January 19.  The $500 added event drew 63 players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.  Mike Wilder (Decatur, IL) rolled undefeated to the finals.  The tourney finals featured undefeated Mike Wilder versus streaking Mike Dunklin, and Wilder was up to the task - winning the title 5-3 in the first set!

Pechauer All American Tour Results from Miller Time Billiards
The 26th stop of the 2007/2008 Pechauer All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance - ACS) was hosted at Miller Time Billiards in Davenport, IA, on Saturday, January 12.  The $500 added event drew thirty-one players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.  Frank DeCastecker (E. Moline, IL) ran undefeated to the finals.  In the hot-seat match, DeCastecker (rated a "5" on a regional handicap system used) slipped past Mike Sterling [4] (Rockford, IL) 5-3.  Earlier in the A-bracket semi-finals, DeCastecker dominated Tim Le [3] (Iowa City, IA) 5-1, while Sterling clipped Dan Kuhl [5] (Moline, IL) 4-3.  In the B-side quarterfinals Kuhl toppled Rodney Flenoi [5] (E. Moline, IL) 5-4, while Rich Bideaux [5] (Moline, IL) ousted Le 5-1 - both losers placing 5-6th.  In the semifinals, Kuhl eliminated Bideaux at 4th place, and Kuhl continued his hot hand in the B-side finals by knocking off Mike Sterling 5-1. The tourney finals featured Dan Kuhl versus DeCastecker, with Kuhl having to win two sets to claim the title.  But DeCastecker closed out the event in the first set on the hill for a 5-4 title win!

The 25th stop of the 2007/2008 Pechauer All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance - ACS) was hosted at Greenfields Pool & Sports Bar in Lakewood, CO, on Saturday, January 12.  The $1,000 added event drew fifty-seven players in a double-elimination 9-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.  Rick Field (Denver, CO) ran undefeated to the finals.  In the hot-seat match, Field outpointed Dave Gomez (Aurora, CO) 7-4.  Earlier in the A-bracket semi-finals, Field defeated Nick Smith (Colorado Springs, CO) 7-4, while Gomez topped off Nate Smith (Colorado Springs, CO) 7-4.  The A-bracket quarterfinals included: Gomez edging Mike Barry (Colorado Springs, CO) 7-6; Nate Smith upending C.J. (Colorado Springs, CO) 7-6; Nick Smith outpacing Kyle Engelsman (Lakewood, CO) 7-4; and Field knocking off Chris Onesky (Arvada, CO) 7-3.
